<aside> đź‘‹ Welcome to my umpteenth little corner of the web. This is the place where I intend to consolidate my online identities and the stream of activities associated with them. To that order, it'll be a living space, rather than a dull, static one. It's aimed primarily at organizing my online presence better, because, frankly, it has gotten out of hand. But you might get a good glimpse of my interests and thoughts by following the breadcrumbs.
Over the years, it feels like I've used every blogging platform there is to set up and maintain one - Blogger, WordPress, Tumblr, Facebook pages, GitHub pages, Medium, Ghost, Substack, and now, Notion. Every platform attempts to solve, or improve the experience of writing online in a slightly different manner, and so brings new possibilities to the table. I like the idea of trying new tools to do the same thing over and over again in order to explore the creative opportunities presented by them. I hope that in the process I find my style.

<aside> ❓ out.of.desk is a name I picked up years ago since out.of.office was unavailable. It was meant to be my Instagram handle because I intended to use it to post pictures from my outdoor adventures at the time. The name has since stuck with me, for better or for worse, because, from my experience as a Software Engineer, I’ve come to value conventions and consistency. The real reason is that it’s hard to come up with good names(also something that I learned from programming), and I don’t wanna spend my energy doing it.
